On an integrated complete solution, Digiline Web 300, the company will highlight the technology’s versatility by using a high-speed Delta 105i greyscale printer, a Gamma 70 P four-colour inkjet printer and a Vericam camera-based verification system.

The solutions on show offer cost efficiency, machine availability and security, and will focus on the ability to switch quickly between print jobs. This enables users to exploit new business opportunities in a host of industry applications.

The digital printing solutions are also ideal for late-stage customisation – coding and marking at the latest possible stage in the workflow. Atlantic Zeiser system solutions include inkjet printing modules, UV inks developed in-house, air and water-cooled UV LED curing units, and solutions for product verification.

Securely printing, coding and marking labels and packaging is a complex process that must take into account a range of stringent requirements. Atlantic Zeiser will use Labelexpo to demonstrate specific applications, showing visitors how to code tax labels and excise stamps with common, individual barcodes and plain-text information at speeds of up to 150 m/min, always on the same transport unit. The challenge is to print the absorbent special paper for tax labels at maximum speed and to outstanding image quality, so the variable data is easy to read for machines for goods identification. Atlantic Zeiser will also illustrate how to print from roll to roll using the greyscale printer Delta 105i in the Digiline Web 300 complete solution. The camera-based verification system, Vericam, which is integrated in the system, will demonstrate how to check the quality of printed data in real time, guaranteeing zero-defects in the end product. The second sample application is also a practical one. Atlantic Zeiser will individually print, mark and code from the roll industrial labels from its partner, 3M, using the Delta 105i printing module. The 3M labels are made from a liquid-repellent special plastic used in the chemical industry. The third application involves four-colour digital printing. A Gamma 70 P, a full-colour printing module for Cmyk inkjet printing, is installed in the Digiline Web 300. Atlantic Zeiser will use the solution to print industrial labels for another self-adhesive 3M high-performance film. Both Delta and Gamma use UV inks from Atlantic Zeiser. Visitors to Labelexpo will see the printers in action, together with the complementary Smartcure curing units.

The partnership with 3M, the industry’s well-known manufacturer of high-performance label materials, will be another highlight of Labelexpo. 3M’s high-quality range of labels is the perfect way for Atlantic Zeiser to complete its product portfolio for UV inkjet label printing. The trade fair will see Atlantic Zeiser showcase 3M’s new range of labels and use live demonstrations to highlight the versatility of these materials, which have been specially developed for digital UV inkjet printing.
