ESMA Is EcoPrint 2012 Partner

ESMA, the European Specialist Printing Manufacturers Association, has confirmed its support for EcoPrint 2012, the industry’s only show focused exclusively on sustainability in print.

“Our members are some of the largest manufacturers of technology for the speciality print sector and as such have been focused on the issue of sustainability for some time. It is something the industry needs to address urgently to secure it a profitable future and we welcome the introduction of this unique show, which is dedicated to offering both manufacturers and end users new, innovative and profitable strategies to make our industry more sustainable,” says Peter Buttiens, CEO, ESMA. To this end, ESMA will be holding its 2012 environmental conference at the show in Berlin, where it will provide all delegates with access to practical and technical guidance, to help them make a positive move towards becoming a more sustainable print business.

Peter Buttiens continues: “ESMA members are highly regarded for their level of technical expertise and many have made significant commitments to sustainability. We are excited about developing a programme for visitors to the show that will feature input from some of the most expert technical minds in print to help this sector make a significant sustainable step forward.”

“EcoPrint is all about encouraging businesses in the print sector to join our campaign to become a more sustainable,” says Marcus Timson, Director, EcoPrint. ”This strategic partnership with ESMA represents another significant milestone in the lead up to the event. ESMA has over 50 leading manufacturers in the specialist print sector, so to have its support and involvement in the show once again indicates how EcoPrint is capturing the imagination of the leaders in our industry. The fact that ESMA has also committed to running a specific environmental conference at EcoPrint will greatly enhance the overall content and we are delighted to be working with another respected industry association.”

In addition to EcoPrint, ESMA and FM Brooks plan to collaborate on other concepts which will be announced in the following months.

SOMA, producer of flexographic printing presses, slitter rewinders and laminators, has launched a new generation of its successful and well-established Optima² flexo press, during its On-line Product Launch Webinar 2020 — a substitute for its planned drupa 2020 activities.

Manroland Sheetfed has launched the latest member of its benchmark Evolution family – the Roland 900 Evolution, further underlining its position as a world leader in large format press manufacture.

drupa, the world's leading trade fair for printing technologies, has decided to reduce the duration of the trade fair from eleven to nine days for 2021. By doing so, it is responding to the wishes of the partner association VDMA (Printing and Paper Technology Trade Association) and many exhibitors to make the trade fair presentation more efficient and to concentrate the volume of visitors in a targeted manner. This is also in reaction to any continuing travel activities and restrictions.
