As demand grows for mass customization, shorter lead times and more product diversification, the new Xeikon CX300 digital label press is an innovation solution that keeps both label converters and their brand owner customers at the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry.

The Hunkeler Innovationdays planned for 22-25 February 2021 will be postponed by one year to 21-24 February 2022. The reason for this is the postponement of the trade fair events due to the spread of the coronavirus. Since Drupa Düsseldorf is now postponed to April 2021, an adjustment of the industry meeting in Lucerne is the logical consequence.

The Management Board of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) adopted a wide-ranging action package, as announced last year, for a short-term reduction in structural costs and long-term improvements in the Company’s profitability. Focus on the profitable core business and systematic streamlining of the cost base are geared to delivering a €100 million improvement in EBITDA, excluding the restructuring result. At the same time, a return transfer of liquidity reserves from the trust fund will almost completely eliminate net debt, thereby significantly improving Heidelberg’s financial stability.

The drupa trade fair scheduled for 16-26 June 2020 will be postponed to 20-30 April 2021. In doing so, Messe Düsseldorf is following the recommendation of the crisis management team of the German Federal Government to take into account the principles of the Robert Koch Institute when assessing the risk of major events. Based on this recommendation and the recent significant increase in the number of people infected with the new corona virus (SARS-CoV-2), including in Europe, Messe Düsseldorf has reassessed the situation. In addition, there is the general ruling issued by the city of Düsseldorf on 11 March 2020, in which major events with more than 1,000 participants present at the same time are generally prohibited.

FESPA announces that its flagship event, Global Print Expo, will return to IFEMA – Feria de Madrid from 6 – 8 October 2020, along with its co-located events, European Sign Expo and Sportswear Pro.
