Spring Open House held at Manroland Sheetfed HQ

Addressing the latest technologies in print, Manroland's Spring Open House 2018 was held at Manroland Sheetfed’s modern Print Technology Center located at its Headquarters in Offenbach am Main, Germany on April 12 to 13. As the part of Manroland regional program, more than 80 guests from Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia took part in the day's events, which included both a commercial print and folding cartons session.

CeDo invests in Vetaphone's corona treatment technology

One of Europe’s leading manufacturer and distributor of household disposable products, CeDo, has confirmed its commitment to quality with a significant investment in Corona treatment technology from the Vetaphone. Renowned for its range of refuse sacks and bio bags, food, freezer and sandwich bags as well as aluminium foils and cling films, CeDo now has a presence in most of continental Europe, as well as the UK.

Chroma becomes first Konica Minolta AccurioJet KM-1 customer in Poland

Chroma Printing House, one of Poland’s largest printing companies, has invested in Konica Minolta’s AccurioJet KM-1 to grow its online printing business by moving further into digital. After extensive testing and a successful installation in January, the commercial printer is making money on a range of applications. These include posters, flyers, business cards, calendars and other marketing collaterals in their state-of-the-art 5,500m production facilities in Żary.

Polish Printers Bring Themselves Up To Date at KBA-Sheetfed

On 13th October, Rapida users from Poland travelled to the Radebeul factory of KBA-Sheetfed for the annual visit of the VSOP Club (Very Smart Offset Printers). The agenda of this year's meet, which brought together printers and pressroom supervisors from a broad spectrum of Polish print companies, placed a special focus on the extended range of services offered by the press manufacturer. Looking beyond classic services geared to increased productivity, higher availability and further improved print quality, the discussions concentrated above all on workflow solutions and data-driven business models based on performance analyses, as well as proactive and predictive services for process optimisation. A second important topic area concerned the innovations which KBA unveiled at drupa 2016.

Compact Roll Handling Technology Key Support for JIT Operation

Czech label converter Colognia press, which now markets its products and services under the logo ‘Dreams and Work’, has installed a second set of Martin Automatic technology to increase efficiency at its plant in Kolin, some 70km east of the capital city Prague. The company, which was founded in 1996 and is still privately owned and run by Jaroslav Vendl enjoyed a €13.5m turnover in 2015, and employs more than 100 people.

First MPS Press for West-East Meat Group from Poland

West-East Meat Group, a supplier of all the necessary for food producers, based in Przemysl, Poland has purchased their first MPS press. Signing and celebration of the sale for an 8-colour EF 340 multi-substrate flexo press took place at MPS company headquarters in Arnhem during drupa.

Apex International's launches at drupa 2016

The Fixed palette concept (4C and 7C), which includes patented GTT anilox rolls that have been designed to create the most consistent and controlled laydown in the industry, especially important for optimized Fixed Palette. With Fixed palette, flexo printers can streamline press operations, reduce anilox inventory and variation, and reliably deliver consistent quality from the shortest to the longest of press runs. Apex will host a Fixed palette Congress on June 2nd, together with leading suppliers and brand owners.

Asahi Photoproducts at drupa 2016

Asahi Photoproducts, a pioneer in flexographic photopolymer plate development, is pleased to announce that it will be bringing a full range of flexographic printing plate solutions to drupa 2016, scheduled for 31 May through 10 June in Düsseldorf. Asahi will be located in Hall 11, Stand A60, at the show. Asahi Photoproducts is known for its unique Pinning Technology for Clean Transfer, enabling kiss touch printing that delivers improved ink transfer, reduces ink filling at the mid-tone area thus reducing dot gain, and results in fewer cleaning intervals for improved overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Bordeaux to demonstrate a complete living space printed solely with Bordeaux inks

Bordeaux Digital Printink, an inkjet manufacturer for the past 16 years, will exhibit at DRUPA, hall 5 stand B39 and will present a comprehensive ink solution that add colors to all aspects of life! The printed items include textile for fashion and a range of home décor items such as furniture and wall decoration as well as industrial applications such as counter tops, tiles and personal items. Bordeaux is again pushing its limits to new territories. Bordeaux will have a hands-on printing demonstration of its “one ink for all fabrics” textile ink which will showcase printing on a number of fabric types with the same ink using one simple digital printing line. The new water based pigment inks mark a new era in digital textile printing, simplifying the printing process and allowing every print shop to print for textile applications. In addition these inks mark a significant reduction in digital textile printing costs that allow textile manufacturers to print with one ink on any type of fabric, with equally great results.

C.P. Bourg introduces the BPM - the industry’s first scalable sheet preparation module

C.P. Bourg is pleased to introduce the all-new, innovative Bourg Preparation Module (BPM) – a modular, scalable sheet preparation unit that empowers print professionals to use their in-line Bourg binders or booklet makers to produce books and booklets with no operator intervention. The BPM works in-line with select digital printers and presses, as well as off-line, or in dual-mode connected to a Bourg Sheet Feeder (BSF), to create perfect bound or stitched books and booklets.

The doors to FESPA Global Print Expo and European Sign Expo 2021, Europe’s leading exhibitions for speciality print and signage, will open in just a few days (12 – 15 October 2021 at the RAI, Amsterdam, The Netherlands). For the first time since Spring 2019, FESPA is welcoming its communities of print service providers and sign makers back to a live event, with a focus on bringing colour back after 18 extraordinary months for these industries.
